In this post, we shall lay down a Comprehensive Itinerary & Trip Planner to Dubai for 7 days which will serve as a DIY guide when you plan a trip to the land of Sheikhs. 🙂
Fact – Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
When to visit – The best time to visit Dubai is during the winter months of November to March. Dubai Shopping Festival takes place in the month of January each year.
Visa Requirements – Visas are available upon arrival at the UAE airports.
We usually withdraw money from ATM and use our forex card while traveling. But if you are planning to exchange currency then do it only from authorized shops.
Sim Card –
There are only two mobile network providers – Etisalat and Du in the UAE. Both come under the supervision of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

Packing Tips – Dress up according to the place/occasion and respect their culture. One thing we would definitely recommend to carry is a Pashmina, it comes handy to cover up at a moment’s notice. Also carry sunscreen, hat, and shades ALWAYS!
Getting Around – Various modes of transport are available such as Taxis/Metros/Buses/Boats/Cars.
Note: To hire a car, you need an international driver’s license, passport, credit card and third-party insurance.
Dubai – Comprehensive Itinerary & Trip Planner for 7 days:
Day 1 – Start your first day in Dubai by visiting Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world! After staring in awe at the mega-tall scrapper, head for some luxury shopping at Dubai Mall, home to the Dubai Shopping Festival and the largest mall in the world by total area. After doing some luxury shopping visit Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, the largest suspended aquarium in the world! The 10 million litre Dubai Aquarium tank has thousands of aquatic animals to keep your entire family happy. End your day by having dinner in the perfect Arabic style setting at Souk Al Bahar overlooking the spectacular night views of Dubai Fountains (World’s tallest performing fountain – a spectacular show of water, music & lights) and Burj Khalifa.
Day 2 – Start your second day by visiting the Palm Islands which are the three artificial islands – Palm Jumeirah, Deira Island and Palm Jebel Ali. During early evening head for an exhilarating escapade of a lifetime to the Desert Safari, Dune Bashing and Cultural Activities.
Day 3 – Start your third day by doing some more shopping at the Mall of the Emirates and then indulge in some amazing snow indoor activities at Ski Dubai, the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. Have your lunch at the mall and go for some boating at 4.30 pm where you would be taken in a yellow boat around the panorama of Dubai Marina and then into the open water where you will cruise around Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Twisted Tower, and Dubai Marina Yacht Club. End your day by heading to the world-famous Dubai Marina Walk. If you are looking for stylish boutiques, al fresco dining or simply a leisurely promenade along the waterfront, head to The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR). Have your dinner and Shisha (hookah) at the Barasti Beach Bar which offers the perfect mix of great music, delicious food and divine cocktails against the stunning backdrop of Dubai Marina.
Day 4 – The fourth day will be spent in Abu Dhabi which is the capital and second most populous city in the UAE. It is advisable to hire a private car from Dubai and travel to Abu Dhabi which is just 1.5 hours away. Spend your day by visiting the Ferrari World, which is the first Ferrari-branded theme park in the world! Spend your morning here to avoid the crowd, then visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which is the largest mosque in the country! Visit the grand and luxurious Emirates Palace which is one of the most iconic landmarks of Abu Dhabi and the Corniche which is an impressive 8 kms stretch of life guarded beach park. End your day by savoring the casual Abu Dhabi café experience at the Lounge at Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi Hotel.
Day 5 – A trip to Dubai can never be complete without loads and loads of shopping! Keeping this in mind, start your fifth day in the beautiful city of Dubai by visiting the world’s largest themed shopping mall, the IBN Battuta Mall. Post-shopping head to the Miracle Garden, the world’s largest flower garden famous for its unique display of flowers and extravagant outdoor recreation. Then visit the Global Village which is the leading seasonal cultural extravaganza in the region offering the visitors an amazing array of festivals, shopping & entertainment. Spend your evening at the Marina Beach.
Day 6 – Start your sixth day by visiting the Souk Madinat Jumeirah which is an authentic re-creation of an ancient marketplace with traditional Middle Eastern style and ambiance. And then head for the most exciting activity of your Dubai trip! Sky Diving at SkyDive Dubai! After you have ticked off the most important activity in your bucket list, head for some celebrations at Bahri Bar, the perfect place to enjoy the views of the waterways, the Arabian Gulf and the Burj Al Arab. Advisable to book deck seats beforehand to get spectacular views of Burj Al Arab.
Day 7 – Today is your last day in Dubai so it should be grand! So, let’s head to Atlantis The Palm post breakfast. It is Dubai’s iconic five-star hotel and luxury resort. Have buffet lunch there and then visit Aquaventure Waterpark and the Lost Chambers Aquarium, Dubai’s largest water park. You can also swim with cute and friendly dolphins at the Dolphin Bay.
